Soup Kitchen

At Timbers Kleinbegin Centre we set up an emergency Soup Kitchen. We hurriedly repurposed 2 containers to build a cooking and prep area.  

We are currently producing 700 litres of soup per day which feeds 2800 people daily with a cup of soup.

We have a great team of 2 cooks and 4 prep ladies. Alfra Cox and Babalwa Hopa from Crafting Hope coordinate and liaise with 15 main NGOs and individual Covid 19 pop-up kitchens who collect soup on a daily basis supplementing their feeding schemes.
